Summer update!

Hello Family and Friends!!

Summer has been a busy one so far! This week has been the first week in a while where I feel like I've been able to really relax. I've been working a lot at Starbucks. I really am liking who I work with so that's made it really fun! Today I had my frist 4:30am opening shift which was hard to wake up for, but I was off at 9:15 so that was a perk!! I am working all early mornings, so naps have become a necessity as I still don't want to go to bed early because I will miss out on the fun!

Lauren and Chris' wedding was so great! The day was full of business and pictures but it was so wonderful :) I was able to give a toast to them at the reception and I appreciated that. They are on a Southern Caribbean cruise right now for their honeymoon. It was a surprise for Lauren, so she was greatly surprised! They started off in Puerto Rico. How fun!

My summer is going to be pretty jammed! I decided to be a counselor at camp this year, and two weeks after that I'll be in San Diego for a week for Dad's ordination!! I'm so proud of him!!! I can't believe how he did it, but he finished! Three more weeks I'll be home after ordination and it will already be San Diego vacation with the fam and then one week and school! Don't know if you followed that whole trail, but it's going to be busy busy!

I'm taking summer school and not quite sure how I'll be able to do it too, but I'm sure it will all work out.

Hello!

Summer has been great! Filled with adventures... but mostly just hanging out : ) I'm really loving being home!! Here are some pictures to enjoy :)


I know you guys have probably seen hundreds of beautiful, wonderful pictures of Evie! Thought I'd share this funny one :)

We threw Lauren a personal shower in the backyard. SO pretty!!! This picture is of Lauren playing a question game about Chris. When she got one wrong she had to put a marshmellow in her mouth :) The wedding is THIS FRIDAY!!! So, I'm busy with planning and in the excitement of that!!

My friend Kalie's dad works for Southwest and so she flew out for free from Monday to Thursday. I know it had only been two weeks, but it felt like I hadn't seen her in a lifetime! It was so great hanging out. We went up to Tahoe with our friend Holly who lives in Gault (and also in the picture, in the middle) and Chad who lives in Pleasenton, as well as Megan. We had a great time hanging out.

Home Sweet Home!

I'm back in Sacramento!! I think I'm going through detox from seeing some of my friends so much! My good friend Elli is on her way, at this moment, to Israel and Egypt until the 18th, so it's going to be hard not even talking to her!

Everything is still in boxes in my room or the garage. Moving around is so odd! Once I get used to one place I'm packing up.

Almost home!

Hello:)

School's going great! I'm really, really enjoying these last two weeks I have here with the amazing people I'm surrounded by :) I'm excited to be home... especially to see EVIE!!!! Brooke sent me a few more videos and she's just jabbering away :) I love it!

This weekend was so much FUN! Friday I went to the beach all afternoon to night. It was really cold so there was no sunbathing! The bonfire was really fun and I got to know a different group of friends a lot better than I had known them and had a blast!

Saturday was a lazy/homework day. I woke up at 12, had lunch and did some homework. Jake and I got to go to dinner that night to Chipotle and catch up which was awesome. Then that night I went SALSA dancing with that fun group from the night before!!! We had SO much fun! We went to the lessons before hand and then when the party started we were able to dance with the guys we brought or from different ones that are there (and actually know how to salsa dance!) All to say, FUN FUN FUN!!! The pictures of the salsa dancing I am wearing the black dress and the red dress. Same event! My friend Kalie and I switched because she was sick of having to pull up the strapless and I was sick on my high heels!

Sunday morning I was on little sleep but really wanted to go to church to hear a great pastor, Francis Chan, speak. He is at a church called Cornerstone Church and I LOVED it! That afternoon I took a much needed nap and then went to a night service at Calvary Chapel with my friends Micah and Kalie, who goes to a Calvary at home. That service was very traditional and the speaker, Chuck Smith, talked for over an hour!! Ha... I was pretty bored but it was nice being back in a traditional setting for a change.

I am very excited because I got a job position at the Undergraduate Registrar's Office here on campus which is a great job! I will be coming back mid August to start on August 18th! Soo exciting :)

I also got my housing assignment!!! I am living with three grrreat girls, Kalie, Elli and Holly, in appartments across the street called Crestview. We got a great apartment and have some guy friends upstairs... so we will be able to control the noise level with a "quiet!" text :) We also have friends all around us in the appartments which will be SO much fun :)

I can't believe there's only two more weeks of school! Time is flying by!

This last weekend was FUN! I did not a lick of homework, went to the beach twice, and had a Dodgers game on Sunday! So yes, I'm paying the price this week with lots of work to do but it was so worth it!

The Dodgers game was my first pro baseball game and I had a great time! They played the Padres and lost 1-0, but we still had fun. My friends made fun of me for knowing absolutely nothing about baseball... including which ones the Dodgers were! Ha... but it was all in love :)

The beach days were fun too. Friday we had a big all girl's beach day at Laguna Beach. There were lots of dolphins in the water so that was fun to watch. Then Saturday I met up with some wonderful friends from Sacramento at Hunnington Beach who were doing a little road trip. I was there with them a couple hours then we all went to BJs for dinner. It was a great time having out with them, and especially seeing Sarah :)

If you didn't know, Sarah's brother Kyle was in a motorcycle accident and broke his ankle, femur, hip and writst (and I think some ribs too). He had no brain or spine damage with is AMAZING! So please keep him in your prayers! He was going to be getting married in June and that will probably have to be postponed.

Ok, off to do all that work I left for this week!

Birthday Bliss!!!

Lots of birthdays this week!!!

My friend Kalie's birthday was celebrated Sunday night at the Cheesecake Factory :) SO fun!! Monday was filled with celebrating her. Tuesday was my roommate Kylie's birthday which included a 6am Doughnut Man run, yesterday was Josh and Nathan's birthday and today is my other roommate Becca's!!! Tonight we're all going out to BJ's for a Pizookie (giant cookie and ice cream) so that will be fun :)

Life is well! School's starting to wrap up and finals are becoming a reality. Only two more big papers I think, a few more assignments, studying, and packing for HOME!!!! I'm looking forward to summer but it's sad leaving friends here for 4 months. Hopefully I can make a mid-summer trip to Arizona/Oregon to see Elli and Kalie. We'll see :) :)

Hello :) It's been way long since I've updated last. Lots has happened these last few weeks! I had spring break and went to Indiana to visit Devin and Lauren and those great friends out there. Afterwards I came back home and spent the remainder of my week there. I definitely wished I could have been home a week longer!! I felt like I didn't get as much time as I wanted to with the fam.

Evie is seriously the cutest thing in the WORLD! Brooke even thinks she's getting her first tooth. YEY! I love getting the videos Brooke will send me of her laughing and cooing. Now when Brooke and I talk on the phone I get to talk to Evie too and she jabbers back at me. SO great :)

I have about four weeks of school left. My last final is on May 1st so I expect to be home that weekend. Mom and Dad are driving down to move me out. School's going well. I'm mentally done, so having to still write papers and study is becoming harder. Almost done though:)

Lauren's wedding is quickly approaching! It's next month! Woo hoo!! I'm so excited about the business and craziness and wonderfulness that will bring when I get home. From showers to the big day... can't wait!!! :)
