Update!

Hello family & friends :)

So a little update on how I've been and what I've been doing! School has been going amazingly. I'm meeting a lot of quality friends and it really feels like home. I found a church today. It's called Glenkirk Presbyterian (sp?) Church and my suitemate Kimberly took me. I really, really liked it :) This picture is from outside the church. I loved the cross cut-out!! I guess it's a popular spot for wedding pictures.

The workload has been really tough lately. I'm just trying to get through this week and I think I'll be good :)

My birthday is on Thursday the 4th. Yey! I'm going out to dinner with some friends. Then on Saturday my hall is doing a beach day and a football game that night. The next weekend I'm driving home with some friends and will be able to visit and see little Evie who is getting so big!! :) :) :)
(theodgersfamily.blogspot.com for pics)

Devin and I are doing awesome. 51 days until Thanksgiving where I'm going out to Alabama! I couldn't be more excited :)

Alright, I've got so much going on. I'll try to update more frequently :) :) Love you guys so much. I never really knew how much I valued my family, church, home, dog! ha, until I don't get to be around it.

Day 3 with Evie!!!

Hi family and friends!!

Today was a busy, busy day for us! Evie got cleared to come home so at 3 I came over and relieved Mom. It took us a while to get cleared, finish packing up stuff, feed Evie.. etc. etc. Josh had went earlier and gotten the car seat professionally installed because it seemed loose and so he took Evie and made sure she was securely fastened. Brooke and I were walked out by a nurse and off we went!

We stopped by Raleys to get her perscriptions and some fresh fruit/veggies. Then the FOUR of us came home! I got to video Evie's first time in her new home :) OF COURSE we went through the garage first and she got to officially sit in the Bus Josh has so amazingly put together! Then we went inside and unpaked and got all settled. At about 5 Evie was ready for food so that started our whole routine again with pumping/feeding/taking pictures.

Brooke was really tired this afternoon. Hopefully she's already gone to bed for a good night's sleep. Mom came for the wooonderful dinner Mary Ellen made and was staying for the night. I'm going to be back there at 8 tomorrow morning so mom can come home to work.

I know all of you may laugh who have had a newborn around.. but MAN are they work! Ha. I guess I didn't realize the extent of everything!

I am so in love with this baby. Like... you have no idea! Especially since I have learned her temperment, what she likes (basically being snuggled and hearing Josh's voice), how to change her the fastest without getting a cry, her few expressions, her little chubby cheeks...

I don't want to go back to school! I would stay here forever just taking care of her. Buuut I guess that's Brooke's job and one day I can do that for myself :)

Alright.. I am SO tired! I'll hopefully update tomorrow after Day 4!!! :)

Day 2 with Evie!!

She's doing great! I was able to take over for mom as she went home, showered and had a little nap. I played nurse and took care of Brooke and Evie the afternoon. SO amazing. I wish I could be here every day... in every moment of her life. But, I guess that's Brooke's job =D

And might I add... Brooke has been the BEST mother, laborer, tired person EVER! I have not heard ONE complaint other than discomfort, she says please an excessive amount and isn't demanding. WOW! i am so lucky to have such an amazing sister!

I'M AN AUNT!!!

Yes, that's right folks, Evelyn Paige Odgers, who we lovingly have nicknamed "Evie" (pronounced "E-V"), was born today, September 17th at 12:22pm. Weighing 7lb, 9oz and 19in long. Yes, even at 3 weeks early!!!

I made it to the hospital at about 12:30 pm in time to see Josh and the nurse wheeling her into the nursery. Then I got to go inside the room and hold Brooke's hand through some tough stiching =(

Brooke did AMAZING and from the moment I got there to tonight when I left she was joking, in good spirits, and even said she could do it again if she needed to. WOW! That sounds like a woman who had an epidural!!! ;) The pictures couldn't be cuter, and let's face it, that's what you all want to see!

I'll be in Sacramento until Sunday afternoon mostlikely.. so if you're here HOLLA at me and we can try to get together!!

Oh, and a big shout out to Liz Rice who graciously waited for me outside, cheered with me as I ran up, and brought me in at lightning speed! =)

A little update for you all...

So I haven't blogged because nothing amazing has really happened lately. School's been fun and the workload seems much more managable now that I've started it (you were right Jackie!!). Every day I feel more and more blessed to be at this awesome school and have seriously the BEST family and friends.

Oh, my friend Anna from home (who is leaving to go to Haiti for 9 months to work in an orphanage on THURSDAY!!) visited me and Megan this Friday-Saturday. When she comes back from Haiti she'll be enrolling in a university so she did a long weekend of visiting all her friends and checking out their colleges. Please please please be praying for her saftey! It's reported that 50 americans each year get kidnapped in Haiti.. and I'm not sure how many more go there!! Plus being blonde and blue eyed she sticks out like a sore thumb! So let's all pray for her protection =)

I can't think of what else to write. I got to get out last night and go shopping with Becca to get some jeans, etc. that I needed.

I can't wait to come home and see (most of) you!!! I have a feeling it's going to happen sooner than not!

For any Cosby Show fanatics you'll understand my reference to "push her out, pull her out, waaaaaaaaaaaaaay out!"

LOOOVE YOU!!

Paige

Week 1 down! Fourteen more to go!

Meg, me, roomie Becca
Before the dig-in!
Mmmmmmmm! Delicious! And I saved half for lunch today.
Being silly=)

So it's Saturday afternoon and I just finished compiling all of my syllabi from my classes and am hit with the reality of the amount of work I'm going to be doing!

I switched my Exodus/Deuteronomy class because it wasn't going to teach or challenge me enough and now I'm in one that's like bible bootcamp! Eek! I guess that's what I wanted!!!

My roommate has been so wonderful to be with. Having her here really makes the school feel even more like home. Today was the first day we did laundry.. and the first time I've used quarter machines to do laundry. It took FOREVER! But now I've got fresh clothes to put on =)

Last night Becca (my roommate), Megan and I went out in celebration of finishing our first week in college! We were about to go on the 210 freeway, missed the exit, and while going over the overpass to turn around saw every car STOPPED as far as the eye could see. Thank the LORD we did not get into that mess! I guess we can no longer abide by the "Oh it's seven, traffic's probably cleard" mentality! Instead we ended up going to BJ's Brewery and having a faaaaantastic meal, and of course, pazuki (sp?) ice cream & cookie dessert. YUMM!!!

Ok, now I have to go actually START this work I so carefully organized.

Love you bunches!

First day of class!

Hello all =)

My first day of offical school has been wonderful so far! I got to sleep in and go to chapel at 9:30. It was AMAZING! The gym was packed and worship couldn't have been any better. Our president Jon Wallace spoke and really had a powerful message about Romans 12:21. Check it out =) Then Corinne walked me to my next class, Health, which I really, really liked! Our teacher is really passionate about taking everything you learn and applying it to our lives. Our first assignment is to find out my family's health history (hint hint, someone wanna email me that info?) and we're going to use that information to better prepare ourselves to combat or prevent following the trends of whatever health issues there are. Ok, I'm going to go to lunch with Corinne then go to my Public Communication and Exodus/Deut. class. I abbreviate Deut. because I really have no idea how to spell it. Let's just be honest here =) Thought I'd keep with the tradition of the first day of school picture:

Love you all! Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Paige

Oh, and as for a major (answering Grandma's question) I'm labeled Undecided but I'm pretty sure I'm going to do Christian Ministries and then maybe Interior Design or Fitness/Nutrition or something like that =) Still not totally sure though.

Finishing Orientation weekend...

Relaxin' on the bed =) My bed and desk! It's so nice and fluffy!! Thanks mom and dad =) and Brooke and baby =)
Football game vs USD. We were HORRIBLE at first but ended losing by like 6. It was still a fun game =)
View of my room =)

So here are some more photos! I'm having a grrrrreat time! The fam left this morning which made me sad once they were gone. I'm ok though now. Actually, I'm really tired so I'm going to take a nap!
My friend Megan and I are going to go get some hair dye for her and a few things for myself then head over to a local church that has an evening service.
I got a job at the Cornerstone Cafe which is the coffee shop on the main campus (there are two a few blocks apart) which I start on Tuesday! Craziness..

Alrightie, love you all!
